The LORD is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

The righteous may have many troubles,
but the LORD delivers them from them all;
Ps.34: 18-19

As I read this word this morning, it really blessed me and I felt led to share. There are times when we face seemingly difficult circumstances - especially during those times when we're been hurt, mistreated or disappointed by the one we thought would never make us feel that way.

I recently went through such an experience when I felt completely and totally let down by friends and God. But in reality I allowed the enemy to deceive me into thinking I had been abandoned when in fact that was a lie.

The word declares that the Lord is close when our hearts get broken. He is willing and able to save those that have received a crushing blow - even bruising the spirit. The awesome thing is that He recognizes that the righteous may have many troubles and struggles, but He is faithful to deliver us from all of them.

I believe someone may be in this very place right now. You may even be searching through these posts for a word and the Lord wants you to know He is there. He says to you:

"I am close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. I specialize in difficult cases and I have not forsaken you. I am only a prayer away. I know you are facing many troubles, but I am the Lord who knows how to deliver you from them all; Not just deliver as in bring you out, but to deliver as in place right in your hands just what you need. Now call unto me and I will answer and show you great and mighty things which you do not know."

My sisters and brothers - there are times when the last thing you want to do is pray. And instead of running everywhere asking everyone else to pray for you, it's time to face the Father for yourself. I promise that as you turn from dwelling on the situation to facing the Father, He will help you see things differently and show you what needs to happen next.

Simply begin by getting alone and bringing Him a sacrifice of praise. Don't rehearse the problem, don't complain about what they did or how bad you feel - just give Him some praise. And as you do He will pour the healing oil into your heart and restore your soul. After you receive then ask Him for the grace and the wisdom to move forward.

I know this is real because He has done it for me.
