PIT = Positioned In Transition
I'm learning that being in a "PIT" situation, where you cannot seem to move or get out, until God moves you out, is not the same as being stuck in a situation with no options.
Being in a PIT means being properly Positioned In Transition!
Those PIT situations are temporary stopping points along this journey called life and they never last forever. They're arranged and allowed by God when He sees the need for us to learn deeper things about His character, His ways and our growth areas as well.
I'm learning that the best thing to do in a PIT situation is this:
~ Rest in the finished work of Christ. God knows the plans He has for us, and we must rest in that fact that our set time of deliverance and release has already been established. Know that if you don't get weary in well doing, you will receive the promise in due season!
~ Like staring at the dark walls of a pit that yield no answers, don't focus on the pit situation. Instead, look up to God and be open to receive from Him, all that you need to get through this time of transition. Look to Him with expectation for the patience, the wisdom and the strength to endure the process so you can come out ahead when this transition season is over.
~ Accept that you are totally and utterly dependent on God to get you out, so rather than pout and complain, rejoice in the knowledge that the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords is coming to your rescue. Trust that He is well able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that you can ask or think!
~ Patiently wait on God to move. Once you're willing to wait, for as long as it takes, you'll find peace in the promise that God is on the way and that He will deliver and make everything beautiful in His own time!
It's so good to be reminded that the pit is never our final destination... It's just a part of the process to propel us forward toward our destiny!
